Name – Garry Horrigan

Q: What is your job title?

Garry: “Area Sales and Technical Executive.”

Q: What does your job involve at Serchem?

Garry: “To proactively secure new business through the sale of our product lines throughout the country whilst providing ongoing services and maintaining strong relationships with our current customer base.”

Q: What is the best thing about working at Serchem and why?

Garry: “It may sound a little cliché when we refer to ourselves as the ‘Serchem Family’ but we do all genuinely care for one another.”

Q: Tell us an interesting or funny fact/story about something in your life?

Garry: “I have played professional rugby and represented my country.”

Q: What advice would you give to your younger self?

Garry: “Always invest and believe in yourself and do not try to be something or somebody you are not. Be the best version of yourself and that is more than enough.”

Q: What is your favourite food and why?

Garry: “Lamb, because it’s Welsh!”

Q: Do you have any hobbies and why do you do them?

Garry: “I have a nine-month old son, Lenny. He is my hobby these days but I love all sports, rugby, football, boxing, golf and I also enjoy weight training and keeping fit.”

Q: What are your aspirations for the future?

Garry: “To be the best father I can be and fulfil my potential professionally.”

Q: What is your favourite quote?

Garry: “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one single step.” (Lao Tzu).

Q: Where’s the most amazing place you’ve travelled to and why?

Garry: “New Zealand, the people are friendly, the scenery is beautiful and they are quite interested in rugby.”

Q: What advice would you give to the next generation of the workforce which could come through Serchem?

Garry: “Buy into our DNA and our ethos that we are all in this together and working hard to be the best.” and: “Integrity is doing what is right when nobody else is watching.”
