Q: What is your job title?

Lucy: “Office Administrator”

Q: What does your job involve at Serchem?

Lucy: “Processing purchase orders, booking couriers, dealing with customer queries, providing detailed reports, invoicing, archiving, filing, local runs and more!”

Q: What is the best thing about working at Serchem and why?

Lucy: “You don’t ever feel like a number, the company really does value you and we all feel like one big family. Working for Serchem is the best job I have ever had. Every single person matters and we all have this amazing team spirit which carries on through all aspects of the business.”

Q: Tell us an interesting or funny fact/story about something in your life?

Lucy: “I like to write in my spare time, hopefully one day I can turn it all into a book!”

Q: What advice would you give to your younger self?

Lucy: “Don’t worry about what other people think of you, as long as what you do makes you happy, that’s all that matters!”

Q: What is your favourite food and why?

Lucy: “Tagliatelle Bolognese, it reminds me of my mom and it was one of the first things she taught me to cook. It’s my comfort food.”

Q: Do you have any hobbies and why do you do them?

Lucy: “I do dancing, I love tap dancing! For the hours that I am in class, it is just for me, and the ladies I dance with are so lovely. It is such a rush to perform for a theatre full of people. It is my happy place.”

Q: What are your aspirations for the future?

Lucy: “I would love to further my career with Serchem and be looked at as someone who can be in a senior role, I would love to be someone that other members of Serchem feel they can look up to and come to for help or support if they need it.”

Q: What is your favourite quote?

Lucy: “If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.”

Q: Where’s the most amazing place you’ve travelled to and why?

Lucy: “Well I actually have two places. Bali for the culture and the experiences and of course the amazing weather! The other is Cornwall, it holds a dear place in my heart and we got to eat at one of our favourite chef’s restaurants which for me was a once in a lifetime experience.”

Q: What advice would you give to the next generation of the workforce which could come through Serchem?

Lucy: “Be honest, open and a team player. You will be working for an amazing company that really will support you and encourage you to grow.”
