Q: What is your job title?

Hannah: “Business Operations Manager”

Q: What does your job involve at Serchem?

Hannah: “To ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day operations while driving long-term improvements.

“Working across all departments gives me an overview of the whole business, the big picture perspective is especially valuable when managing the various projects that make up a key part of my role and responsibilities.”

Q: What is the best thing about working at Serchem and why?

Hannah: “We have such a great team; everyone works really well together, and you can really tell that people love what they do and are excited about where the company is heading.”

Q: Tell us an interesting fact about yourself?

Hannah: “I studied history at university specialising in early modern, I love the Tudor era. I do miss my lectures and classes, but I don’t miss the all-nighters in the library with mounting deadlines and assignments.”

Q: What advice would you give to your younger self?

Hannah: “Trust your gut and have confidence in YOUR decisions.”

Q: What is your favourite food and why?

Hannah: “My favourite meal is probably a home cooked roast dinner with all the trimmings.”

Q: Do you have any hobbies and why do you do them?

Hannah: “I love going to spin classes. I try to go three to four times a week with friends. I’ve tried doing them in different locations as well when travelling, such as London and New York.” 

Q: What are your aspirations for the future?

Hannah: “I really want to take more time and focus on my wellbeing, taking more time for my family and friends and leaning into new experiences. I want to try and experience something new every year. Last year I attended my first football match.”

Q: What is your favourite quote?

Hannah: “Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself – George Bernard Shaw.”

Q: Where’s the most amazing place you’ve travelled and why?

Hannah: “Thailand, it’s a really beautiful part of the world. The people, culture and food – Chang Mai was my favourite. However, exploring all of the Phi Phi Islands was also incredible, some of the best beaches and crystal-clear waters.”

Q: What advice would you give to the next generation of the workforce which could come through Serchem?

Hannah: “Be prepared to get stuck in, all roles and departments are interlinking and make the most of every learning opportunity that comes your way. Things won’t always go to plan, but you learn from it and that’s how you and your team grow.”
